Well, no photo on that “Crabapple” blog. . Maybe one of the young people will come by some day and show me what I am doing wrong

    Beautiful in my “mind’s eye” is the old crabapple tree that was planted in the side yard of the house across the alley from our house in Dayton. When it was coming into bloom, I felt happy with anticipation, and when it was blooming, I made a visit to it every day. Once, with permission, I picked enough to make crabapple jelly. The people who bought that house did not treasure the tree, and cut it down, leaving the grassy bank on which it had grown.

    That was years ago. I thank you for reviving the memory of that beautiful tree! –Ellen Duell
